I've been thinking about trying to grow some again, but I'm afraid that the cold Chicago winter might be too much to get a plant started. I may have to wait until the summer.

I'll have to try gibberellic acid next time and make sure the ph balance is correct.

I am raising the Magic Fruit as well. I read and was told to mis 50/50 the Peat Moss and the Perlite. Well the peat Moss has a ph of 7 and the plant needs 4.5-5.8. Need to lower the ph. Working on that with the garding stores around here. Plants I purchased are ph 7. I understand the correct ph will help the plant to adsorb its required nutrients. If the ph is higher all will work but very slow. The plant is already a slow glower. I heard it may take several to 4-6 weeks for the seed to spout.

I didn't use gibberellic acid, but I'm starting to think that I should have. So far, nothing has sprouted, and I'm wondering if I need to wait a little longer (it's been 2 weeks so far) or if they're just not going to come up. I know that Chicago's weather probably isn't helping any.

I'd be curious to know how the acid works for you. If these seeds don't come up I'm thinking about ordering some more and trying out the acid. Where did you end up finding some?

I too also have miracle fruit seeds coming in.... did you use the gibberellic acid? it was definitely hard to find in my city, but I found some. its expensive, and was told I could substitute it with a product called "catalyst". If you wouldn't mind keeping me updated on your progress I'd like to compare my results with yours after I start the process this week when my seeds come in.
